Chord Lab — a chord-progression studio. It suggests what could come next and tells you why, and voices both hands for you. Download the result as a MIDI file and carry on in your own DAW.

Theory Lab — scales, intervals, chords and harmonic function, one idea per screen. Press the keyboard and hear each one as you learn it.

Rhythm Lab — learn how rhythm is built, from beats and bars to grooves, then write down what you hear on a step grid.

Ear Trainer — an ear-training game. Identify single notes, chords and scales by ear, played with real instrument sounds (piano, electric piano, violin, guitar).

Technology

Runs in modern browsers with no install or login. Sound is synthesized in real time with the Web Audio API; Ear Trainer’s real-instrument timbres use the open-licensed FluidR3_GM (MIT) soundfont.

Chord Lab’s piano plays multi-velocity layers of the public-domain SplendidGrandPiano Steinway recordings; the smplr playback library and the DattorroReverbNode reverb are MIT-licensed.

Rhythm Lab’s drums are the MuldjordKit by Lars Muldjord (CC BY 4.0), provided by DrumGizmo.org, with a clap from the Versilian Community Sample Library (CC0).
